Following the Waihou Springs Forest Reserve tree plantation road, the 1 mile Waihou Spring Trail is rated moderate. Waihou Spring Trail loops through a forest of cypress, pines, eucalypti and koa as it descends southward to the Waihou Springs gulch below.
