Fox Trail
Located within South Mountains State Park, the 4.2 mile Fox Trail is rated moderate/strenuous and is a available for both hiking and biking. South Mountains State Park is located 20.5 miles south of Morganton North Carolina and may be reached from I-40, turn south onto NC 18 and travel 9 miles to NC 1913 (Sugarloaf Road) and turn right. Continue along Sugarloaf Road to Old NC 18 and turn left. Travel 4 miles along Old NC 18 and turn right onto Ward's Gap Road (SR 1901). South Mountains State Park is located off SR 1901 on SR 1904.
