Chestnut Oak Nature Trail
Located within Hanging Rock State Park, the 0.75 mile Chestnut Oak Nature Trail is rated easy and begins behind the bathhouse. A self-guided nature trail, Chestnut Oak Nature Trail features 25 numbered stops which corresponds to a booklet. Hanging Rock State Park may be reached from I-40 by taking US 52 north to exit 122 onto RJR Moore Road. Turn left at the top of the ramp and continue for 17 miles following the signs for Hanging Rock State Park.
