Available for both hiking and biking,
Green Mountain Trail is broken down into two sections, the 3.5 mile upper
and the 1 mile lower.
Beginning on the east side of Aska Road, across from Deep Gap Parking
Lot, the Upper Section of Green Mountain Trail gradually climbs to the
summit of Green Mountain.
The Lower Section of Green Mountain travels along an old logging road,
just sout of the upper section along Aska Road. The old road joins the
trail at the top of Green Mountain. |

The ridge on top of Green Mountain
provides an overview of Charlie's Cofe of Lake Blue Ridge.
To reach Stanley Gap Trail from
Blue Ridge Georgia, travel east toward
Blairsville Georgia along GA 515 for 0.8 miles and turn right at Windy
Ridge Road. Travel 0.2 miles along Windy Ridge Road to it's dead end with
Old US 76 and turn left. Continue along Old US 76 for 0.2 miles and turn
right onto Aska Road. Travel south along Aska Road for 4.4 miles to Deep
Gap. This is the western end of the trail.
To reach the eastern end turn ledt off Aska Road onto Campbell Camp
Road and continue south past the private homes to turn left onto Forest
Service Road 711. Follow FR 711 to the signed parking area.
