Fannin County Georgia Hiking Trails

Long Creek Falls Trail

Beginning in the popular dispersed recreation area known as Three Forks, the 1.1 mile Long Creek Falls Trail starts as a relatively gradual hike alongside Long Creek. Traveling in conjunction with the Appalachian Trail, Long Creek Falls Trail follows the 2x6'' white blazes of the AT as it travels 3 short ascents before reaching the blue blazed side trail to the Long Creek Falls.

To reach Long Creek Falls Trail from Blue Ridge Georgia, travel south along Aska Road to it's end (13.5 miles and turn right onto Newport Road. Continue along Newport Road for 4.5 miles to it's end and turn left onto Doublehead Gap Road.

Travel across a concrete bridge on Doublehead Gap Road and turn onto the dirt-gravel road. Continue along this road 0.3 miles to the intersection with Forest Service Road 58 and turn right. Continue along FS 58 for 5.3 miles to Three Forks. Long Creek Falls Trail is located along the left side of the road.
