Dockery Lake Recreation Area, the 3.5 mile Dockery Lake Trail enters
Blood Mountain Wilderness Area where it's blue blazes become infrequent.
Rated easy to strenuous, Dockery Lake Trail travels along an old logging
road to Miller Gap where it enters the wilderness and become a footpath.
Crossing several creeks, Dockery Lake Trail climbs steeply up to
the Appalachian Trail in Miller Gap. |

To reach Dockery Lake Recreation Area travel along GA 60 to Suches
Georgia and turn onto the gravel Forest Service Road 654. Continue along
FR 654 for a mile to the recreation area.
