Arkaquah Trail

| Descending along a ridge from Brasstown
Bald parking lot to Track Rock Gap, the 5.5 mile Arkaquah trail is rated
moderate and receives moderate use. Offering great views from open ridge
tops, Arkaquah Trail has several ups and downs, with some being steep.
Several switchbacks are located along the final mile of Arkaquah Trail.
To reach Brasstown Bald from
Blairsville Georgia, travel south along US 19/129 for 8 miles and
turn left (east) onto GA 180. Continue along GA 180 for 8 miles and
turn left (north) onto GA 180 Spur. Travel 3 miles to the Brasstown
Bald Visitor Center parking lot. The trail leaves the parking from the
northwest corner near the restrooms. |

To reach the lower end of the trail at Track Rock Gap from Blairsville,
travel along US 76 for 6 miles and turn right (south) onto Track Rock
Road and continue 3 miles to the gravel parking lot. The trail begins
across the road from the parking lot.
