Vogel State Park, the 0.2 mile Helton Creek Falls Trail travels down
to the first waterfall before climbing beside the creek to the second,
larger waterfall. Rated easy, Helton Creek Falls Trail receives heavy
use.
To reach Helton Creek Falls Trail from Blairsville Georgia, travel
south along US 19/129 for 11 miles and turn left onto Helton Creek
Road, which is the first road past the entrance to Vogel State Park.
Continue along Helton Creek Road for 2.2 miles to the parking area on
the right. The trail begins on the right just before the parking area. |
