| The South Toe River Area offers about 10 miles
of easy to moderate riding along FR 472. Advanced riders may test their
skills along Buncombe Horse
Range Trail.
To reach South Toe River Area from
Burnsville North Carolina take US 19E to NC 80 and travel south to
Forest Service Road 472. Turn right onto FR 472 at Mt. Mitchell Golf
Course. Continue along FR 472 past Black Mountain Campground. Parking
for Buncombe Horse Range is located about 4 miles past the campground. |
