Located within Carter County Kentucky, the 1,600 acre Carter Caves State Resort is home to several caves including Cascade Cave which features a 30' waterfall, X Cave, Saltpetre Cave, Bat Cave, Laurel Cave, Horn Hollow Cave and more. Tours to several caves are available. In addition to it's caves, Carter Caves State Resort offers a variety of amenities and recreational opportunities including a lodge, cottages, golf course, putt-putt, campground, restaurant, fishing, guided canoe trips, pool, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, tennis, picnicking, playgrounds, welcome center and gift shop.
To reach Carter Caves State Resort Park from I-64 east, exit 161 (Olive Hill). Turn left onto US 60 east and travel about 2 miles to KY 182 north. Turn left onto KY 182 and continue to the park entrance, about 3 miles.
