Located within
Greenbrier State Park the 1.5 mile Red Oak Fire Trail is rated as
"Moderate". This trail travel through a hardwood forest of oak, maple and
hickory. The Red Oak Fire Trail may be accessed from the Red Trail to form a
shorter loop of the Red Trail.
Red Oak Fire Trail is available for both hiking and biking.
Directions:
To reach Greenbrier State Park from the East, travel west on I70 to exit
42, bear right onto Rt. 17 north. Go into the center of Myersville and Rt.
17 will turn right. Follow Rt. 17 to the flashing lights at the intersection
of Rt. 40. Turn left onto Rt. 40 west. Follow for three miles and the park
is on the left. |
