Gilmer County Georgia Bike Trails-Carters Lake Loop

Carters Lake Loop Trail consists of mostly single tracks with a surface of hard packed dirt and gravel. There are several steep hills to climb along this loop that could present a challenge to even the most experienced mountain bikers. You will find a few technical sections along this loop with some rocky terrain.

Directions:

From Downtown Ellijay Georgia head west on U.S. Hwy 76 for about 6 miles to the Ridgeway Recreation Area boat ramp parking area.
