large variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, camping,
fishing, canoeing and picnicking. Three areas with access to the river make
up more than 1,500 acres of New River State Park.
To reach the Visitor Center & Park Headquarters of New River State
Park from I40 and I77 traveling north, to to US 421N. Travel along US
421 N through Wilkesboro and turn right onto NC 16 N toward Jefferson. |
