Barton Gap Trail
Located within Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, the 1.6 mile Barton Gap Trail is rated moderate and begins at Hurricane Campground. Barton Gap Trail is available for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and motorcycles. To reach Hurricane Campground and the trailhead for Barton Gap Trail from I-81, take exit 45 to VA 16. Travel south along VA 16 for 15 miles and turn right at the Hurricane Campground sign onto Route 650. Continue for 2 miles and turn left onto FS 84.
Mount Rogers National Recreation Area is located within Grayson, Washington, Wythe and Smyth County Virginia.
