| Located within
Crawford Notch State Park, Avalon Trail travels to the peak of Mount
Avalon (3.430'). Offering easy to moderate grades along it's lower portion,
Avalon Trail becomes steep and rough along the last 1.5 miles. Sharing the
trail with Mount Willard Trail for the
first couple hundred yards, Avalon Trail continues on it's own at an
informational signpost.
To reach Crawford Notch State Park from I-95, take Route 16 north to
Route 302 west. Continue along Route 302, following signs to Crawford
Notch State Park. |
