Cannon Mountain
Cannon Mountain is celebrating its 70th season of lift served skiing and riding this winter. The only Aerial Tramway in New Hampshire is located here. The area has the highest lift served summit, and the greatest vertical drop in the state- 2180 feet. 9 lifts serve 72 trails slopes and glades. Although Cannon is known as a “skiers” mountain, first timers and learners have their own dedicated area- separate from the main mountain. The Tuckerbrook area has 3 lifts, and 12 trails, including some easy, kid friendly tree skiing and riding areas. Almost 70% of the Cannon’s terrain is classified for novice and intermediate skiers and riders. Cannon’s famous front five has been expanded, and now features 5 glades added over the past several years, as well as DJ’s Tramline. Cannon has always been a family friendly area, and current and future plans for the mountain are keeping the family in mind. With some families into their fourth generation at the mountain, Cannon is a favorite, with that small town feel in a classic big mountain setting. You’ll also find the New England Ski Museum located at the Tramway base.
