Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area
Located just off I-85 at the South Carolina-Georgia border, in Oconee County South Carolina, the 680 acre Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area is known for it's great fishing. In addition to fishing, Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area offers a variety of facilities and recreational opportunities including 2 boat ramps, courtesy dock, picnic area and shelters, playground equipment, cabin rentals, camping, and hiking. To reach Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area from I-85, take exit 1 onto Highway 11 toward Walhalla and travel 0.5 mile to park sign on the left.
