Located within
Knox County Tennessee, the 500 acre House Mountain Recreational
State Natural Area is home to Knox Counties highest peak, the 2,100'
House Mountain, and offers picnicking and over 4 miles of trails
including Mountain Trail, and Turkey Trail.
To reach House Mountain State Natural Area from
Knoxville Tennessee, travel along I 40 East and exit onto US 11W
(Rutledge Pike). Travel north and east along Rutledge Pike for about
10 miles to the House Mountain Sign on the right side of the highway
and turn left onto Idumea Road.
