Located in Hamblen County
along the shores of Cherokee Reservoir, the 1,435 acre Panther Creek
State Park is about 45 miles south of the
Great Smoky Mountain National Park
and offers a large variety of recreational opportunities including,
camping, fishing, horseback riding, swimming (large
fan-shaped pool), hiking, tennis, biking, basketball,
softball, volleyball, horseshoes, and picnicking.
To reach Panther Creek State Park
From
Knoxville Tennessee, travel west along I-40 to exit 394 (Highway
11E North). Travel about 35 miles toward the park and Morristown
Tennessee.

Gatlinburg Tennessee, travel east along I-40 to exit 417 (Highway
92) and travel toward Jefferson City.. At the light turn right onto
Highway 11E North and continue to Morristown and Panther Creek State
Park.
From the North, travel along I-81 to exit 12 (Highway 160). Continue
north along Highway 160 to Highway 11E and turn right, then the next
left. Continue about 2.5 miles to Panther Creek State Park.
