Roan Mountain State Park
Located at the base of Roan Mountain (6,285') in Carter County Tennessee, the 2,006 acre Roan Mountain State Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, fishing, tennis swimming, touring a century old farmhouse, camping, playgrounds, basketball, softball, game room, picnicking, volleyball and playgrounds.
To reach Roan Mountain State Park from I-181 in Johnson City Tennessee, take the Elizabethton/Roan Mountain State Park exit (Highway 67). Travel along Highway 67 through Elizabethton and turn right onto Highway 19-E south. In Roan Mountain, turn right onto Highway 143 and continue to park.
