Upper French Broad River Clean-up

Beginning at 9am volunteers will be treated to a continental breakfast before heading to the river and a picnic lunch following the clean up. We plan to clean 8 to 10 miles of river and several roadside pull-off areas along the riverbank as well. Lifejackets, canoes, paddles and trash bags are all provided, Wear old clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and bring a change of fresh clothes to ride home in. Reservations are required to make all necessary preparations, What a great community service project! Hope to see you on the river soon.

Everyone is invited to participate and you may do so in a variety of ways.  Come early to help with breakfast. Put on your chef hat and grill up lunch.  Bring a tasty dish.  Hop in a canoe and help with on-water trash removal as you paddle down the river, or join a group heading to roadside locations along the river.  Cash contributions are greatly appreciated and will be used to benefit the river clean up by purchasing food and supplies for this event, and to help maintain river accesses in Transylvania County .  Make checks payable to Upper French Broad River Clean-up and mail to Headwaters Outfitters PO Box 145, Rosman, NC 28772.
