Located within Amicalola State Park the 729' Amicalola Falls is
officially recognized as Georgia's highest waterfall, and the tallest
cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. With it's upper
portion free falling, the middle and lower portions of Amicalola Falls
cascade through a steep rocky creek. Observation decks are available at
the top and bottom of Amicalola Falls.
Amicalola Falls State Park is located about midway between
Ellijay, Georgia and
Dahlonega, Georgia along GA 52.
