Crater of Diamonds State Park

The only diamond-producing site in the world, Crater of
Diamonds State Park offers the adventure of hunting for diamonds
over a 37.5 acre plowed field. Three colors of diamonds are
found; white, brown and yellow as well as over 40 other types of
rocks and minerals.
Comprised of 911 acres along the banks of the Little Missouri
River, Crater of Diamonds State Park also offers a
campground,
an enclosed pavilion, amphitheater, wildlife observation, the
Diamond Springs Water Park, gift shop, exhibits and
hiking
trails.
To reach Crater of Diamonds State Park from the courthouse
square in downtown Murfreesboro (North Washington Avenue) travel
southeast along AK301 for 2 miles to the park.
