Located within
Yell County Arkansas,
Mount Nebo rises 1.350 feet and is home to Mount Nebo State
Park. Designated a state park in 1927, much of Mount Nebo State
Park was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
A variety of recreational and entertainment opportunities are
available within Mt. Nebo State Park including
hiking,
mountain
biking,
horseback riding, hang gliding, cabin rentals, a pool, tennis courts,
picnic areas, playground, pavilions, ball field and camping.
The road to Mt. Nebo State Park is not recommended for
trailers over 24 feet, as it is reached by traveling west from
Dardanelle, Arkansas along AR 155, which includes hairpin
curves.
