Benton County Arkansas Hiking Trails
|
Located within
Hobbs State Park - Conservation Area, the 8.5 mile Pigeon Roost
Trail is a double stacked-loop trail, which makes it possible to shorten
the 8.5 miles to about 4 miles. Beginning at the trailhead parking lot
on the north side of AR 12, about 0.7 mile east of War Eagle Road,
Pigeon Roost Trail travels along the ridgeline then drops off the ridge
westward to the bottom of a hollow where it intersects with the loop. At
this intersection the hiker may travel either left or right (somewhat
easier hike to the left). Pigeon Roost Trail is rated moderate to
strenuous.
