Located within
Devil's Den State Park, 15 mile Butterfield Hiking Trail is rated
moderate. Beginning near the pavilion in Devil's Den State Park,
Butterfield Trail crosses Highway 74, and travels near Mount Olive.
Offering scenic views of Blackburn Creek, Vista Point, Butterfield Trail
features mountainous outcroppings and rock formations, and is available
for overnight backpacking.
To reach Devil's Den State Park from I-540, 8 miles south of
Fayetteville Arkansas, take exit 52, AR 170 at West Fork and travel 17
miles to the park.
