San Bernardino County
The Mojave National Preserve is located in the Mojave
Desert, and has an elevation ranges from 880 to 7492 ft. Natural features
include the Kelso Dunes and the Cima Dome, as well as volcanic formations
such as Hole-in-the-Wall and the Cinder Cone Lava Beds.
Directions:
The Mojave National Preserve is easily reached via I-15 or I-40 east of
Barstow, CA, and west of Needles, CA and Las Vegas, NV. There are six
freeway exits that provide visitor access.
