Length: 5.0 miles round trip

The Lassen Peak Trail starts at the parking area 7.0 miles from the southwest entrance, 22 miles from the northwest entrance. The trail begins at an elevation of 8500' and is uphill 2000' on a steady steep grade (15%).

Lassen Volcanic National Park is located fifty miles east of Red Bluff on highway 36, and 50 miles east of Redding on highway 44.
