Fish Lake Trail #574

Located within the Pagosa Ranger District of
San Juan National Forest, the 13 mile Fish Lake Trail travels up
the north fork of Fish Creek to Fish Lake, then on to the Continental
Divide. Several stream crossings and steep grades are found along Fish
Lake Trail.
To reach Fish Lake Trail travel south along US 84 to Blanco Basin
Road (FDR 657) and turn right. Continue along FDR 657 for 10 miles and
turn right onto Castle Creek Road (FDR 660). At the junction with the
road to Opal Lake, stay to the left. During wet weather you may wish
to park at this junction and walk as the road may become very slippery
and sometimes impassable when wet.
