Following a stream with small waterfalls, the 11 mile Browns Creek
Trail is a popular trail for hikers & horseback riding groups. The lower
portion of Browns Creek Trail begins in primarily a Ponderosa pine environment
and gradually changes to lodgepole and spruce forest. The higher elevations
offers meadows with alpine wildflowers (mid summer). Along the way to Browns
Lake, views of Mt. Antero (14,269), and the Arkansas Hills to the east.
