Custer County Colorado Hiking Trails

Cottonwood Trail #1344

Pike & San Isabel National Forest, Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands, National Forest in Colorado

Available for Hiking & Horseback riding, the 3.3 mile Cottonwood Trail follows (generally) Cottonwood Creek and is rated Difficult for Hikers.

To access Cottonwood Trail travel along Highway 69 from Westcliffe Colorado to CR 140 (Schoolfield Lane) and turn right. Continue along CR 140 to the Comanche/Venable Trailhead, Follow Rainbow Trail south for a little over 1 mile and turn right onto Cottonwood Trail.
