Located within
Castle Peak Wilderness Study Area, the 4 mile Deep Creek
Trail is an unmaintained, unmarked, primitive trail which
follows Deep Creek. Well defined for the first 3 miles, Deep
Creek Trail may become difficult to follow.Deep Creek Trail also offers parking, visitor information,
picnicking, toilet, and roadside and walk-in camping.
To reach Deep Creek Trail from I-70 take the Dotsero exit and
travel north along Colorado River Road (Eagle County 301) for 2
miles and turn left (west) onto Coffee Pot Road. Continue along
Coffee Pot Road for 2 miles to the trail on right.
