White River National Forest
Managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Keyser Creek Trail
follows the east Canyon Creek and Keyser Creek up to the Flat
Tops. Traveling 3 miles to the National Forest Boundary, Keyser
Creek Trail travels in a narrow canyon with steep sided cliffs.
Offering great scenery and wildlife-watching opportunities,
Keyser Creek Trail continues another 2 miles after entering the
National Forest Boundary to Blue Lake and on beyond to the
Monument Lake area. Keyser Creek Trail is available for both
hiking and horseback riding.To reach Keyser Creek Trail from I-70 take Canyon Creek Road
exit and travel 2 miles to East Canyon Creek and turn right. The
payment ends 2 miles up as the road becomes rough and narrow.
The Keyser Creek Trailhead is located near the crossing over
East Canyon Creek. Please remain on the trail as this access
crosses private land on a narrow easement the first 0.5 mile.
Limited parking is available. Trailer parking is located at the
switchback before the cattle guard 3 miles up the county road.
