Winter Ridge Trail

White River National Forest

Located on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Winter Ridge Trail climbs from the ridge to above Blue Hill to Castle Peak. Winter Ridge Trail is available for both hiking and horseback riding.

To reach Winter Ridge Trail from I-70 at Wolcott and travel north along CO 131 to Colorado River Road (Eagle county 301), about 2 miles west of McCoy. Continue another 8 miles west on the River Road to Blue Hill Junction and travel south for 2 miles to the trailhead.
