Available for Hiking, Biking, Horseback riding, ATVs, Motorcycles, and
Skiing, the 45 mile Signal Butte Trail parallels FR 200 and offers several
spurs, including:
- Rule Spur #717A
- Phantom Spur #717B
- Davis Spur #717C
- Westcreek Spur #717D
- Wildhorn Spur #717E

Camping is permitted at undeveloped sites along the trail.
To access Signal Butte Trail:
- From Colorado Springs travel along Highway 24 to Woodland Park. Turn north
onto Highway 67 and travel about 15 miles to Westcreek and take FS 340 to FS
200. Travel along FS 200 past Trail Creek Campground (1.3 miles). The rail
crosses FS 200 and is designated with a split rail fence and white arrow
markers.
- From Colorado Springs, take Highway 24 through Woodland Park to Divide
Colorado and turn north onto FS 357. Continue along FS 357 for 0.5 miles to FS
359 and turn west. Travel 10 miles along FS 359 to FS 200, turn north and
travel about 4 miles. Signal Butte Trail crosses FS 200 just before the turn
to Wildhorn Campground. Again, the trail is designated with a split rail fence
and white arrow markers.
