Located in the Halfmoon Drainage Area of the Leadville Ranger District,
the 6 mile Highline Trail forms a loop and is rated moderate. Highline
Trail offers an elevation change of 1,360' and offers the opportunity to
continue south along the Colorado Trail to the Mount Massive split (2
miles) or to the Halfmoon Drainage (4.5 miles). It is also possible to
continue west along the Highline Trail for 2.5 miles to Native Lake.
