Located in the Halfmoon Drainage Area of the Leadville Ranger District,
the 5.5 mile Mount Massive Trail is rated moderate to strenuous and offers
an elevation gain of 4,314'. Traveling to the summit of Colorado's second
highest peak the Mount Massive Trail requires about 4 to 6 hours for the
average hiker. Mount Massive offers 7 summits over 14,000 feet with the
highest peak being 14,421'. |
