Available to hikers, and ATVs, the 11 mile
Lost Trail Creek Trail begins by traveling through open parks. After about
1.5 miles, the trail dropping down to gradually parallel Lost Trail Creek.
Continue northward up Lost Trail Creek, the trail will cross the creek &
make a short, steep climb away from the creek bottom. As the trail
continues, it passes through a log fence, travels another 0.25-0.5 mile
and enters a small open park where the Heart Trail begins.

At this junction, Lost Trail Creek Trail turns westward
and begins entering a mixed aspen & spruce timber stand. After traveling
about 1.5 miles the trail enters a long open park bottom of Lost Trail
Creek. Lost Trail Creek Trail becomes a 4WD road for about 1.5 mils along
the stream bottom area. After about 3 miles the trail will meet the West
Lost Trail Creek Trail and the Cataract Lake Trail.
To reach Lost Trail Creek Trail from Creede Colorado,
travel southwest along CO 149 for 20.1 miles to it's intersection with FR
520 (Upper Rio Grande River Road), then travel 16 miles to Lost Trail
Campground.
