Available to hikers, and horseback riders,
Squaw Lake Trail crosses the Squaw Creek Bridge, climbs through a mixed
old growth spruce-fir timber stand, and reaches several switchbacks as
climbs 1,500'.
To reach Squaw Lake Trail from Creede Colorado, travel
southwest along CO 149 for 20.1 miles to it's intersection with FR 520
(Upper Rio Grande River Road), then about 10 miles to
Thirty Mile Campground. From the campground travel along Squaw Creek
Trail #814 for about 6 miles. Squaw Lake Trail begins at the bridge
crossing on Squaw Creek.
