Mesa Verde National Park
Located in Montezuma County
Colorado, the 52,000 acre Mesa Verde National Park is home to
600 cliff dwellings and over 4,000 known archeological sites,
offering a look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people which
lived here over 700 years ago (A.D. 600-A.D. 1300).
Mesa Verde National Park Headquarters is about a 1 hour drive
east of Cortez Colorado along Highway 160, and about a 1.5 hour
drive west from Durango Colorado along Highway 160.
