Animas River Drainage
Located within the Columbine Ranger District of
San Juan National Forest, the 31 mile Graysill Lake to Kennebec Pass
section of the Colorado Trail is referred to a Highline Trail is rated
More Difficult, and receives moderate use. Highline Trail (Graysill Lake
to Kennebec Pass) begins at an elevation of 11,120' and an ending
elevation of 11,600'. From Graysill Lake to Hotel Draw, the trail crosses
Blackhawk Pass and follows the dividing ridge.
