Located within the Pagosa Ranger District of
San Juan National Forest, the 11.6 mile (to Continental Divide at
Piedra Pass) West Fork Trail begins at an elevation of 8,300' and an
ending elevation of 11,400'.
The first mile of West Fork Trail passes through private property,
at mile 4.5 you reach the junction with the closed Beaver Creek Trail
#560.

To reach West Fork Trail travel northeast along US 160
for 15 miles and turn left onto West Fork Road (FDR 684). Continue
along FDR 684 past Wolf Creek and Wolf Creek Campground, across the
bridge over the West Fork San Juan River to the trailhead.
