With a starting elevation of 11,500' and an ending elevation of 12,159', the
1.7 mile Black Powder Pass Trail begins at the section house, Boreas Station and
travel northeast along a dirt track as it heads to a saddle between Boreas
Mountain (south) and Bald Mountain (north).
Black Powder Pass Trail may be accessed from US 285, via CR 50.
