Fishing trails are available along the river, above and below the reservoir at Spinney Mountain State Park.

Directions: To reach Spinney Mountain State Park from Colorado Springs travel west along US 24 for 55 miles over Wilkerson Pass and turn south onto County Road 23 and continue 2.8 miles to CR 59. Spinney Mountain State Park entrance is located 1.1 miles down CR 59.
