At this point the two trails split with the Rosalie Trail bearing left up an
old logging road and the Tanglewood Trail continues north along Tanglewood
Creek. After climbing along Tanglewood Creek the trail begins to ascend toward
the saddle above. Tanglewood Trail becomes more steep and strenuous,
particularly after leaving the trees. At the saddle the trail becomes the
Roosevelt Lakes Trail and begins to descend gradually to Roosevelt Lakes. From
thelakes the trail continues north to the Beartrack Lakes Trail.
Tanglewood Trail is rated Moderate.
To reach Tanglewood Trail from Denver Colorado travel 28 miles west along US
285 to the traffic light before the top of Crow Hill and turn right (northwest)
onto CR 43. Travel 6.8 miles along CR 43 to the "Y" in the road, bear left and
continue 2.1 miles, staying right at the campground.
