Available for Hiking, Horseback riding, & Biking, the 5.5 mile Lovell Gulch
Trail travels north out of Woodland Park along the edge of the timber. Lovell
Gulch Trail then crosses a stream & forks where a sign describes the loop ahead
being 3.75 miles. Turning right and traveling upstream along a narrow meadow for
about 1.5 miles. Climbing to the top of a ridge, the trail loops back to the
west along the ridge, offering views of Pikes Peak and Ute Pass.

The steepest section of Lovell Gulch Trail is it's descent from this ridge.
Turn right at the fork and travel back.
Lovell Gulch Trailhead is located north of Woodland Park on CR 22, Rampart
Range Road, next to the City Road Maintenance Building.
Camping is permitted at undeveloped sites along Lovell Gulch Trail
(300' from trail or stream).
