Litchfield County
Located along the west branch of the Farmington River in Pleasant
Valley Connecticut, the 2,954 acre People's State Forest is home to
the Stone Museum, Veeder Boulders, and white pines which date to more
than 200 years old.
Considered to be Connecticut's flagship forest, People's State
Forest offers a large variety of outdoor recreational opportunities,
including over 10 miles of hiking trails, canoeing & kayaking,
cross-country skiing, biking (roads only) fishing, hunting,
snowmobiling and picnicking.
