Home to Ancient temples and ki'i (wooden images), Pu'uhonua
o Honaunau National Historical Park is a step back in time to a sanctuary of
Hawaii's past where traditional Hawaiian lifestyle is preserved.
To reach Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park from
Kailua-Kona travel south along Highway 11 for 20 miles. Between milepost 103
& 104 at the Honaunau Post Office, turn right towards the ocean onto Highway
160. Travel 3.5 miles and turn left at the Pu'uhonua o Honaunau NHP sign.
