Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site
Home to one of the most famous heiau (temple) in the
Hawaiian Islands, Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site is a significant
place in the history of King Kamehameha I, who brought the Hawaiian Islands
together under one rule.
The access road to the Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic
Site visitor center is located at 62-3601 Kawaihae Road, off Route 270, one
quarter mile north of the Highway 19 intersection.
