Briery Fork Trail

Located within
DuPont State Forest, Briery Fork Trail is rated moderate.
Beginning/ending along Joanna Road, near the junction of Joanna Road and
Grassy Creek Trail, Briery crosses Briery Fork Creek two times, then
continues past a junction with Twin Oaks Trail, before ending/beginning
at a different location along Joanna Road. If traveling in this
direction, turning right onto Joanna Road will form a loop back to
Briery Fork Trail.
To reach DuPont State Forest
From
Asheville North Carolina, travel east along I-26 to exit 40
(Airport) and travel south along NC 280 for 16 miles to US 64 and turn
east (left). Continue along US64 for 4 miles and turn right onto Crab
Creek Road. Follow Crab Creek Road for 4 miles to DuPont Road and turn
right. Continue along DuPont Road for 3.1 miles. |

Brevard North Carolina, travel south along US 276 to Cedar Mountain
and turn left onto Cascade Lake Road. Follow Cascade Lake Road for 2.5
miles to Staton Road/DuPont Road and turn right. Continue along Staton
Road/DuPont road for 1.5 miles to the Buck Forest access area.
From
Hendersonville North Carolina, travel south along Church Street (US
25 Business) to Kanuga Road and turn right. Continue along Kanuga Road,
which becomes Crab Creek Road for 11 miles to DuPont Road and turn left.
Follow DuPont Road for 3.1 miles.
